Syrian government forces have succeeded in freeing central neighborhood in the city of Aleppo in the progress of their latest foreign support against militants in the country.
Syrian state television, SANA, reported on Tuesday (27/09) that the Farafra environment that has been recovered by the government troops, is located in the old quarter of Aleppo near the city's famous castle.
A military source who was not named also confirmed the victory with, saying, "The army retake control of all districts Farafra ... after neutralizing the terrorists. Syrian army units now amid clearing mines in the area. "
"Liberation Farafra occurs after the continuing military operations . which includes the components of air and ground components and artillery," the source added.
Meanwhile, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), a monitoring group based in Britain, has confirmed the first victory Tuesday Syrian government forces against terrorists in Aleppo's center as part of a major offensive launched last week.
Syrian ceasefire brokered by Russia and the United States, ended on 19 September. Damascus refused to extend the deal after deadly air strike in the US-led coalition military base near the eastern city of Dair Ezzor which clearly violates the agreement.
Following the failure of the ceasefire, Syria announced the start of a new military operations in Aleppo aimed expel the terrorists who occupy the east side of the strategic town.
