Story of Suffering war yemen

SANAA - Women skinny 18-year-old, Saida Ahmad Baghili, lying in a hospital bed in the Red Sea port city, Hodaida. He is clear evidence of widespread malnutrition diseases caused by 19 months of civil war in Yemen.

Since arriving at Al-Thawra hospital on Saturday (22/10), Baghili already lying low. Relatives and nurses at the hospital said Baghili can not digest solid food, she could only swallow liquids such as juice, milk and tea.

"The problem is malnutrition because of the financial situation (he) and situations (wars) today," said a nurse at the hospital Al-Thawra, Asma Al-Bhaiji, on Tuesday (25/10).

Baghili comes from a small village, Shajn, about 100 km southwest of the city Hodaida. According to relatives, Saida Ali Baghili, he worked with sheep before showing signs of malnutrition five years ago.

"He's fine. He's in good health. There's nothing wrong with him. And then he got sick," said Ali Baghili when interviewed by Reuters.

"He has suffered from this disease for five years. She could not eat. She said her throat hurt." Said Ali Baghili.

After the war started, Baghili condition deteriorated and his family did not have money for treatment. His weight dropped drastically in the last two months and he also suffered from diarrhea.

"His father was not able to send them anywhere (for treatment), but some charities helped," said Ali Baghili without specifying anyone donors for Baghili.

As reported by Reuters, Baghili is one of more than 14 million Yemenis undernourished. According to the international group of the United Nations (UN), the number reached more than half the population of Yemen.
