ANKARA, Demonstrator large anti-American shook the Incirlik military base in the city of Adana, Turkey, which used US and NATO to bombard Syria and Iraq.
A huge crowd of demonstrators filled the streets in Adana, while chanting anti-American and anti-Israel.
Thousands of demonstrators gathered outside the base that houses US and NATO forces, and called for the closure of Incirlik air base, RT reported on Thursday.

Police and security forces blocked the entrance to a military base to prevent possible interference and anarchic actions of the protesters.

The US State Department has told Americans at the consulate Adana to close more quickly than usual.

"US citizens in Turkey: Demonstration held in Merkez Park, Incirlik Air Force Base at 06:00, and the Consulate in Adana will be closed at 16:00," the department said in his tweet

The US military improve security at the highest level during the coup attempt recently to the government of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan

On July 15, a faction of the armed forces deployed tanks and helicopters in an attempt to seize power from Erdogan.

During the coup attempt, Turkish officials cut off electricity and blocking the movement in and out of Incirlik, and asked residents to avoid areas vital.

The Turkish government hold Incirlik air base commander Bekir Ercan Van along with 12 other officers accused of involvement in the coup.

Reports say more than 60,000 people have been fired, suspended or arrested as part of a government crackdown on those who are labeled as coup plotters or sympathizers.

Incirlik is the biggest nuclear arsenal of NATO, which is owned and controlled by the US. Washington also has used the military base, to conduct air strikes in Syria and Iraq.
